ABOUT JKA/AF

JKA/American Federation, founded by Sensei Takayuki Mikami (9th dan, JKA) in 2009 to promote top quality karate throughout the Americas, is an affiliate member of the Japan Karate Association/World Federation, headquartered in Tokyo Japan. The JKA/AF promotes top quality karate and fellowship among dojo through regular training, competition, examinations and instructor courses.

Since 2009, JKA/AF annually hosts national training camps with instruction led by Sensei T. Mikami and guest instructors from JKA Headquarters in Tokyo, National Championships and Collegiate Goodwill Competition, and regular instructor training, rank examination & qualification tests.
